The Foundation in a nutshell
Since it was created in 1993, under the umbrella of the Fondation de France - leader of philanthropy in France - the Foundation of emlyon business school has been supporting projects aiming at training informed managers, developing the entrepreneurial spirit and promoting social diversity, in an international environment.
The Foundation is chaired by Philippe Klocanas (a 1986 graduate), who co-founded Weinberg Capital partners in 2005 with Serge Weinberg.
Philippe Klocanas I Chairman of the Foundation of emlyon business school: “It's an honor for me to chair the Foundation of emlyon, a school which has given me the opportunity to achieve my projects. I now want to contribute to give that same chance to many more young ones”, says Philippe Klocanas, Chairman of the Foundation of emlyon business school.
As part of the School's strategic plan “Resonance 2028”, in which social and environmental responsibility constitute the red thread for all the school's activities, the Foundation is becoming an essential tool and means of leverage to assert the social policy of emlyon, increase the commitment of benefactors and alumni, stimulate the emlyon community and promote the outreach of the emlyon brand.
What are donations for?
Each donation to the emlyon Foundation is paid back to students in need. The solidarity and human links are really what is being built between benefactors wanting to share and the young beneficiaries.
